O Flute Downcut
O-flute downcut bits apply the chip-clearing benefits of the O-flute geometry to a downcut spiral direction, pressing cutting forces into the workpiece to protect the top surface of the plastic from chipping or lifting during the cut. This makes them the right choice for cutting veneered or laminated plastic composites, acrylic sheet goods, and other materials where the top face finish is critical. The open O-flute geometry continues to provide the chip clearance needed to prevent heat buildup and melting throughout the cut.
