Bottom cleaning router bits are larger than most router bits, starting at 3/4" and going up to 1-1/2", and are built for material removal and surface leveling tasks. Common applications include flattening live-edge slabs, resurfacing CNC spoilboards, leveling glued panels and cutting boards, and cleaning the bottom of dado joints or pockets. Our range includes standard carbide options as well as a PCD diamond shaker door router bit that is highly popular among shops producing shaker-style cabinet doors. For best results, make multiple shallow passes rather than cutting deep in a single pass, and use dust collection as these bits generate significant chip volume.
