Beading Bits

Beading bits are top bearing router bits that add a traditional, decorative profile to edges while softening sharp corners. They are widely used in cabinet door making, furniture edge detailing, picture frames, baseboards, and tabletops. The bearing rides along the edge of the material to guide the cut consistently. As with most form bits, multiple light passes are strongly recommended rather than attempting to remove the full profile depth in a single pass, particularly on hardwood. This approach reduces tear-out and produces a cleaner finished profile.
